CARE TIPS FOR BULK HAIR FOR BOHO BRAIDS

Before Install

Wash hair before use and let air dry before your hair appointment

Detangling:

  • Keep curls soft, moisturized, and tangle-free by spraying your bohos daily with a mix of leave-in conditioner and water using a mist bottle.
  • Use a paddle brush to detangle gently — start from the ends and work your way up.
  • Repeat this process daily to maintain curl definition and prevent matting.

Night Routine:

  • Before bed, gently brush through your braids to remove tangles.
  • Loosely twist or braid the hair into one or two sections to keep it neat.
  • Protect your hair every night with a satin or silk bonnet or tie down with a satin scarf to reduce friction and retain moisture.

Washing & Deep Conditioning:

  • Deep condition once or twice every two weeks to keep the hair hydrated, bouncy, and soft.
  • Always detangle before washing to prevent shedding or knots.
  • Gradually wet the hair, then gently brush through before fully washing.
  • Finger-comb while shampooing, and use a wide-tooth paddle brush to detangle while the conditioner is in for best results.
  • Put moisture back into the braids with some leave in conditioner and oil scalp with light serum

CARE TIPS FOR FRENCH CURL/BONE STRAIGHT BRAIDING HAIR

French Curl braids are known for their soft, romantic finish and signature curled ends. To maintain their beauty and prolong the life of your style, please follow the care instructions below

Daily Maintenance

  • Separate the curls gently

Use your fingers to lightly separate and fluff the curls each morning. Avoid combs or brushes on the curled ends to prevent frizz.

  • Refresh with lightweight mousse

Apply a small amount of anti-frizz mousse or styling foam to the curls. Scrunch upwards to revive bounce and shine.

  • Moisturize the scalp

Use a light scalp oil 2–3 times weekly to prevent dryness and itching.

Washing & Cleansing

  • Cleanse the scalp only

Mix shampoo with water in an applicator bottle and gently cleanse your scalp. Rinse carefully and avoid soaking the curled ends to prevent tangling.

  • Air-dry for best results

Pat braids dry with a towel and allow them to air dry. Avoid blow-drying the ends, as it can cause frizz and disrupt the curl pattern.

Night Care

  • Wear a silk or satin bonnet

Secure curls in a loose ponytail and cover with a silk/satin bonnet or scarf to reduce friction.

  • Use a satin pillowcase

This provides extra protection and keeps curls smooth while you sleep.

Frizz & Curl Control

  • Lightly trim knots

If the ends begin to tangle, carefully trim only the knotted portion. Do not cut the curl shape.

  • Use a curl-refresh spray

A light mix of water and leave-in conditioner can help keep the curls defined and hydrated.

Longevity Tips

  • Avoid heavy products

Creams and thick oils can weigh the curls down and cause them to clump together.

  • Protect from friction

Be mindful of rough fabrics such as wool coats, scarves, or sweaters, which can cause frizz at the ends.

  • Recommended duration

With proper care, French Curl braids last 6–8 weeks depending on your routine and hair type.
